LACEY-On Thursday, June 7, 2018, at 10:10 a.m., Officer Michael Verwey responded to police headquarters to take a report of possible identity theft. The victim stated that she received an email from LifeLock indicating that her personal information had been compromised. The representative from LifeLock stated that someone used her name, Social Security Number, and date of birth to open a Verizon account in Texas and New Jersey. The accounts were blocked before any monetary loss. LifeLock notified all three credit bureaus to put a 90 day fraud alert on her information. The victim was advised to monitor her credit on all of her accounts.
