Lottery winner knocks it out of the park with $136K ticket

A big-league win closed out a jackpot season in Fallston with a six-figure grand slam.

FALLSTON, Md. — A Maryland Lottery player is walking away with a $136,810 prize after purchasing the last top-prize FAST PLAY ticket in the Home Run Riches Bases Loaded game at a Harford County grocery store.

Key Points

  • $136,810 FAST PLAY winning ticket sold at Harvest Fare in Fallston
  • Prize marks the final progressive jackpot for the Bases Loaded game
  • New baseball-themed game, Walk-Off Winnings, now in play

Final jackpot hit before game closes

The winning ticket was sold on April 9 at Harvest Fare, located at 2315 Belair Road in Fallston. The retailer will receive a $1,368.10 bonus — equal to 1% of the prize — for selling the ticket. The Home Run Riches Bases Loaded game has now officially ended with the final progressive jackpot claimed.

The game, which was part of the Maryland Lottery’s seasonal baseball-themed FAST PLAY lineup, allowed players to win instant prizes or the growing progressive jackpot.

New game continues jackpot tradition

Replacing the retired version is Home Run Riches Walk-Off Winnings, a $5 FAST PLAY game launched on March 3. As of April 9, its progressive jackpot stood at more than $56,000. In addition to cash prizes, players can enter a second-chance promotion for a chance to be selected as a Contestant of the Game for one of the Orioles’ 162 regular-season games.

Each selected Contestant wins $500, with additional payouts for home runs and grand slams during their designated game.
