Man dead after stabbing in South Baltimore neighborhood

Baltimore, MD – A man died Tuesday afternoon after being found with multiple lacerations on West Garrett Street, prompting a homicide investigation in the city’s Southern District, police said.

Officers responded to the 100 block of West Garrett Street around 3:47 p.m. after receiving reports of a cutting. When they arrived, they discovered an adult male suffering from apparent stab wounds. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Detectives have not released the victim’s name pending family notification and have not identified any suspects or a motive in the attack.
