A lucky ticket purchased on the Upper East Side matched enough numbers to claim a $50,000 prize in Wednesday night’s drawing
MANHATTAN, N.Y. — A Powerball ticket sold at a Manhattan convenience store turned into a $50,000 winner after matching enough numbers in Wednesday night’s drawing to claim a third-prize payout, according to the New York Lottery.
The New York Lottery announced that one third-prize-winning ticket was sold for the June 17 Powerball drawing.
The winning ticket was purchased at Grace Convenience Inc., located at 405 E. 70th St. in Manhattan.
Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
The game features five white balls drawn from a field of one to 69, along with a red Power Ball drawn separately from a field of one to 26.
The New York Lottery said it remains North America’s largest and most profitable lottery, contributing $3.6 billion during fiscal year 2024-2025 to benefit public schools across New York State.
