Maryland man charged after wife’s body found near residential alley

BROOKLYN PARK, MD — A Baltimore man has been charged with murder in connection with the May 23 death of his wife, whose body was found with signs of trauma in a residential area of Brooklyn Park, Anne Arundel County Police announced Saturday.

Homicide detectives identified the victim as 44-year-old Sarah Elizabeth Bundy, also of Baltimore. Her body was discovered just after 9 a.m. near Disney Road and Alley 79. Emergency responders pronounced her dead at the scene.

Investigators identified Bundy’s husband, 49-year-old Cedric Dion Calloway, as the suspect. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Calloway on Friday, charging him with murder.

Bundy’s body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for autopsy. Details regarding the cause of death have not been released, though police confirmed the victim had “apparent trauma” when discovered.

Evidence was collected at the scene by the department’s Homicide Unit and Evidence Collection Unit. Authorities say the investigation remains active.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Homicide Unit at 410-222-4731 or leave an anonymous tip with Metro Crime Stoppers at 866-7LOCKUP or metrocrimestoppers.org.
