$60 million Mega Millions jackpot hits Ohio as lucky ticket sold in Van Wert

VAN WERT, Ohio — One lucky lottery player struck it rich on St. Patrick’s Day after a Mega Millions ticket sold in a small Ohio town landed a massive $60 million jackpot.

The winning ticket was purchased at Tyler’s Short Stop on East Main Street in Van Wert.

The numbers drawn were 4, 11, 18, 38 and 50, with Mega Ball 24.

Lottery officials say the ticket was an auto-pick and has not yet been claimed.

The winner can choose between receiving the full jackpot as an annuity paid over 30 years or taking a lump sum cash option estimated at $27.1 million.

The prize must be claimed within 180 days.

This marks Ohio’s latest Mega Millions jackpot winner, with the previous big win in the state coming in April 2025 when a $112 million ticket was sold in South Euclid.
