Lucky ticket strikes $4.4M jackpot in Middlesex County lottery win

South River, NJ – A single lottery ticket sold at a neighborhood supermarket has turned into a $4.4 million jackpot, marking one of the largest New Jersey Lottery wins of the year.

The winning Pick-6 ticket was purchased at Cavaco Supermarket on Ferry Street in South River for the Monday drawing, according to New Jersey Lottery officials.

The winning numbers were 04, 17, 20, 25, 39 and 45. The jackpot-winning ticket matched all six numbers to secure the $4.4 million prize.

Lottery officials confirmed the retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The jackpot now resets to $2 million for the next Pick-6 drawing scheduled for Thursday.

Players who added the Double Play option also had a second chance at winnings. The Double Play numbers for the same drawing were 07, 10, 24, 30, 31 and 38, offering prizes up to $250,000.

Pick-6 has been part of the New Jersey Lottery since 1980 and includes additional features such as bonus drawings and optional add-ons for extra chances to win.
