Winning ticket worth nearly $20K was sold at a Kingsbridge Avenue neighborhood store
BRONX, N.Y. — A routine stop at a Bronx deli turned into a winning moment for one New York Lottery player after a top-prize TAKE 5 ticket sold in the borough matched all five numbers drawn during Wednesday’s midday drawing, securing a prize worth $19,471.
The New York Lottery announced that one top-prize winning ticket was sold for the June 4 TAKE 5 MIDDAY drawing.
The winning ticket was purchased at GROC DELI OF KINGSBRIDGE AVE, located at 245 W. 230th St. in the Bronx. The ticket is worth $19,471.
TAKE 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39. Drawings are televised twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
Lottery officials said prizes from New York Lottery draw games may be claimed up to one year from the date of the drawing.
The identity of the winner has not been released.
The New York Lottery said it remains North America’s largest and most profitable lottery. During fiscal year 2024-2025, the lottery contributed $3.6 billion to support public schools across New York State.
