Teen busted in armed robbery setup tied to online marketplace meet in DC
WASHINGTON, DC — A 16-year-old suspect has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery that unfolded during an online marketplace meetup in Northwest D.C., police said.
The incident happened around 6 p.m. on Feb. 10 in the 1400 block of Columbia Road Northwest.
Authorities said the victim arranged to sell and trade merchandise when the suspect pulled out a firearm during the meeting. A second armed suspect then emerged and helped take the victim’s property.
Both suspects fled on foot after the robbery.
On March 19, police arrested a 16-year-old male from Northwest D.C. and charged him with armed robbery.
The investigation remains ongoing, and police are working to identify additional suspects.
