UTICA, NY – A serious pedestrian-vehicle collision occurred on Thursday, at approximately 9:55 PM on the 1200 block of Oriskany Street. The Utica Police and Fire units responded to the scene, where a man had been struck by a vehicle exiting the Fastrac station heading eastbound.
The pedestrian was immediately transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital and is currently in critical condition. Witnesses reported that the man ended up on the roof of the vehicle while still clutching an open container in his hands.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident is ongoing. Updates about the victim’s condition and the results of the investigation will be released as they become available.
