QUEENS, N.Y. – The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating 14-year-old Gianna Tocco, who was reported missing after she was last seen leaving her home in Flushing on Friday evening.

Authorities said Tocco was last seen at approximately 6:55 p.m. on January 9. She is described as a White Hispanic female with a light complexion and black hair, standing about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing around 130 pounds. Police said she was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and black leggings.

Tocco’s disappearance has prompted an active search in the surrounding area, with police distributing her photo to local precincts and community organizations. Investigators are urging anyone with information about her whereabouts to contact the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS or submit tips anonymously through the department’s website.
