A few evening showers and thunderstorms will move out Saturday night, setting the stage for several days of sunshine, low humidity, and ideal beach weather along the Jersey Shore.

Toms River, NJ – After a chance of showers and thunderstorms Saturday evening, residents and visitors along the Jersey Shore can look forward to a stretch of pleasant summer weather through the start of the new week.

The National Weather Service says any storms should end before 8 p.m., with skies gradually clearing overnight. Temperatures will fall to around 66 degrees, with light winds becoming calm.

Sunny skies return Sunday

Sunday is shaping up to be a picture-perfect beach day, with abundant sunshine and a high near 82 degrees.

A light northeast breeze during the morning will shift to the southeast in the afternoon, helping to keep temperatures comfortable along the coast.

Sunday night will remain partly cloudy with lows around 64 degrees and calm winds.

Warmer weather arrives Monday

The warming trend continues Monday as mostly sunny skies push afternoon highs to around 86 degrees.

Light south winds will develop during the afternoon, but humidity is expected to remain relatively comfortable compared to recent days.

Monday night will be mostly clear with overnight lows near 66 degrees.

Great stretch for beachgoers

The forecast offers an ideal opportunity for beach trips, boating, and outdoor activities following Saturday evening’s unsettled weather. While an isolated shower or thunderstorm is possible early Saturday night, no significant weather is expected through at least Monday night.
