Powerball player hits $50K jackpot at Depew gas station

Powerball ticket worth $50K sold at Joe’s Kwik Marts in Depew

Depew, NY – A Powerball player in Western New York is waking up $50,000 richer after purchasing a third-prize-winning ticket at a convenience store in Depew for Sunday night’s drawing.

The lucky ticket was sold at Joe’s Kwik Marts, located at 5114 Transit Road in Depew. It matched four of the five white balls and the red Powerball in the September 15 drawing, securing a third-tier prize of $50,000.

The winning numbers for the draw were selected from a pool of 1 to 69 for the white balls, and 1 to 26 for the red Powerball. Powerball drawings are held three times a week—Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.—and broadcast live.

This latest win adds to the millions of dollars distributed annually by the New York Lottery, which remains the largest and most profitable lottery in North America. For the 2024–2025 fiscal year, the lottery contributed $3.6 billion to fund public education in New York State.

Winners have up to one year from the draw date to claim their prize. The New York Lottery also reminds players to play responsibly and provides resources for those who may be experiencing gambling issues.
