NEWARK, NJ — Newark police are investigating a fight that left one person injured last weekend.
Authorities are seeking assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an aggravated assault on March 9. The incident, which took place around 3 a.m. in the 100 block of Van Buren Street, was captured on surveillance footage.
During the altercation, the suspect engaged in a physical confrontation with the victim, resulting in the victim being thrown to the ground. Subsequently, the suspect struck the victim in the head with a bottle. Law enforcement officials are urging anyone with information to come forward to aid in the suspect’s identification.
