BALTIMORE, MD — A Baltimore neighborhood was hit by its second carjacking in less than a week, with both incidents allegedly carried out by juveniles, according to police.
The latest incident occurred on November 2 in the 200 block of South Bouldin Street in Highlandtown, where a food delivery driver was targeted. Police say the driver was returning to his car when two young males dressed in black and suspected of carrying a handgun approached him. The suspects demanded the driver’s keys and cell phone before driving away in his vehicle, officials said.
While the driver was unharmed, the incident has raised concerns among residents in Highlandtown, where carjackings and other violent crimes have increasingly involved younger suspects.
The carjacking came just days after a separate incident involving juveniles in the same area. A woman in the 300 block of South Bouldin Street reported being targeted by young suspects in an attempted robbery, though police have not released additional details on that case.
Both incidents remain under investigation, and no arrests have been made in either case. Police have not disclosed if they believe the two incidents are connected, but they are calling on the public for any information that might help identify the suspects.
