Several Juveniles Arrested After Large Gathering Turns Disorderly in Rosedale

Baltimore County police arrested several juveniles after a large gathering in Rosedale escalated into disorderly behavior Friday evening.

Rosedale, MD – Several juveniles were arrested Friday night after a large gathering in Rosedale escalated into criminal activity, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

Officers responded to the 6200 block of Hazelwood Avenue on Friday evening, where they encountered a large group of young people. Police said several juveniles were taken into custody following the disturbance.

Police warn against disorderly gatherings

The Baltimore County Police Department said it supports young people gathering and enjoying themselves safely but emphasized that enforcement action will be taken when events turn disorderly or involve criminal behavior.

“The Baltimore County Police Department wants young people to be able to enjoy themselves safely,” the department said in a statement. “However, when gatherings escalate into criminal activity or disorderly behavior, officers will take appropriate enforcement action.”

Parents urged to monitor children’s activities

Police also encouraged parents and guardians to know where their children are and to discuss the importance of making responsible decisions.

Authorities noted that large gatherings can quickly become unpredictable, placing young people in unfamiliar and potentially unsafe situations.

The department did not release the number of juveniles arrested or specify the charges they may face.
