Shots fired on I-95 in Wilmington leaves vehicle damaged, driver unharmed

WILMINGTON, DE – Delaware State Police are investigating a shots fired incident on Interstate 95 after a driver discovered bullet damage to their vehicle late Friday night. Investigators said the driver was heading southbound near Shipley Road around 9:30 p.m. on Friday when they heard a loud noise but continued driving due to poor weather conditions. Upon reaching their destination, the driver noticed damage to the vehicle consistent with gunfire and reported it to authorities.

Troopers responded and confirmed evidence that the vehicle had been struck by bullets. No injuries were reported, and no suspects have been identified.
