Officers responding to a late-night gunfire detection alert found a shooting victim on a North Monroe Street block
BALTIMORE, Md. — A ShotSpotter alert sent Baltimore police rushing to a West Baltimore neighborhood late Sunday night, where officers found a 53-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds.
Baltimore Police said Western District officers responded at approximately 11:50 p.m. to the 500 block of North Monroe Street after the city’s gunfire detection system registered shots fired.
When officers arrived, they located a 53-year-old man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Police have not released information regarding the victim’s condition or the circumstances that led to the shooting.
No arrests have been announced.
Western District detectives are investigating the incident.
