TOMS RIVER, N.J. — Ocean County Jail records indicate that several foreign-born inmates were booked into the county correctional facility over the Father’s Day weekend, facing charges that include assault, burglary, theft, child endangerment, resisting arrest, and fugitive from justice offenses.
The records show the individuals were committed to the jail between June 20 and June 21 and remain listed in custody or under active court proceedings.
Assault and child endangerment charges filed
Among those booked was Jhonny Santiago Lazohuaman, 38, a citizen of Peru, who was committed to the jail on June 21.
Records show he is being held without bail on a charge of attempting to cause or knowingly causing bodily injury to another person.
Also booked June 21 was Porfirio Acevedo-Almazan, 42, a citizen of Mexico. Jail records list a second-degree charge of endangering the welfare of a child.
Both inmates remain listed with no-bail status.
Multiple burglary and theft allegations
Agustin Romano-Rojas, 25, a citizen of Mexico, was booked June 20 and faces multiple charges in several cases.
The charges include burglary, theft by unlawful taking, resisting arrest by flight, obstruction of the administration of law, and hindering prosecution by providing false information to law enforcement, according to jail records.
Several of the charges remain active with no-bail designations.
Fugitive and weapons-related cases
Jamie Braulio Rojas Del Carmen, 37, a citizen of Mexico, was committed to the jail on June 21.
Records show he is being held without bail on a fugitive from justice charge.
Geordy Luis Jimenez, 27, who is listed as a United States citizen born in the Dominican Republic, was also booked June 21. He faces charges including resisting arrest, obstruction of law enforcement, and unlawful possession of a weapon, according to jail records.
Additional inmate booked on municipal matters
Leonardo Martinez-Salvador, 63, a citizen of Mexico, was committed to the facility on June 20.
The jail records list multiple municipal ordinance violations associated with his case. Bond information reflected a cash bond amount totaling $4,050.
No ICE detainers listed
The inmate records reviewed did not list active Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainers for the individuals identified.
