Virginia Beach Police Investigate Grant Avenue Shooting

**VIRGINIA BEACH, VA** – The Virginia Beach Police Department responded to a report of a shooting on Grant Avenue on Friday at 2:07 p.m. Officers arrived in the 700 block to find a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim received aid from officers and was subsequently taken to a hospital nearby for further treatment. During the investigation, police identified Tysia Suttler, an 18-year-old from Virginia Beach, as the suspect involved in the incident.

Suttler was apprehended within a few hours and faces several charges. These include Malicious Wounding, Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony, Shooting in Commission of a Felony, Discharge of a Firearm in Public, and Reckless Handling of a Firearm Resulting in Injury.

The investigation is still active. Anyone with information is urged to contact the VBPD Detective Bureau or submit a tip through anonymous channels.

Robbery on Carey Avenue Under Investigation

**Wilkes-Barre, PA** – Police have launched an investigation following a reported robbery that occurred on Carey Avenue on January 16th, 2025, at approximately 12:31 AM.

Officers were dispatched to the scene where they spoke with a 21-year-old victim from Plains, Pennsylvania. The victim was purportedly delivering a food order to an apartment building when confronted by an armed suspect.

According to the victim, the suspect emerged from the building, brandishing a handgun from his waistband. He demanded the food order and any money the victim might have.

The victim explained that when he declared he had no money, a second suspect struck him with a closed fist. Both suspects, described as wearing ski masks, took the food order and fled the scene. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
