HARRISBURG, Pa. — A Luzerne County man faces charges for allegedly sexually assaulting a child he communicated with through Facebook messages. Attorney General Dave Sunday announced the arrest and charges on Tuesday.

William James Christian Jr., a board member at the Lehigh & Keystone Valley Model Railroad Museum, was taken into custody on Tuesday. He is charged with multiple offenses, including unlawful contact with a minor, indecent assault, and disseminating explicit sexual material to a minor.

Bail for Christian, 30, from Dupont, was set at $125,000 during his arraignment on Tuesday. As a condition of his bail, he is prohibited from having internet access, unsupervised contact with minors, and involvement with the model railroad museum.

“This defendant used a common interest — enthusiasm for trains — to groom and prey on a young person,” Attorney General Sunday stated. “The defendant is charged with soliciting sexual messages from the victim, and assaulting them, over a period of many months.”

Allegheny County Man Sentenced for Child Sexual Abuse

**HARRISBURG, PA** – An Allegheny County man has received a prison sentence ranging from 12 to 30 years for the repeated sexual abuse of two children, committed between 2004 and 2006. Attorney General Dave Sunday announced the sentence on Thursday.

Marc Brown, 67, was sentenced in Allegheny County Court following his guilty plea to charges including involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault, and endangering the welfare of children. These charges are part of a broader investigation by the 49th Statewide Investigating Grand Jury, which has reviewed testimony relating to various members of Jehovah’s Witnesses accused of child sexual abuse.

Brown was an active member of the congregation at the time of the offenses and abused the children, with whom he was acquainted, on numerous occasions. Testimonies presented during the proceedings confirmed that Brown molested the children, watched them shower, and entered their bedroom at night to assault them.

**Cape May County, NJ** – Cape May County authorities announced the arrest of Michael J. Lupacckino from Wildwood Crest in relation to sexual assault allegations. The joint investigation was carried out by the Wildwood Crest Police Department Detective Division and the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office, Special Victims Unit.

On Monday, the Wildwood Crest Police Department received information about Lupacckino’s alleged involvement in multiple sexual assault incidents that commenced in October. Consequently, this led to the initiation of a combined investigative effort.

Investigations involved witness statements, forensic evidence, and search warrants at Lupacckino’s residence, culminating in charges including aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, and two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. **Hackensack, NJ** – Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 44-year-old Florelvi Paulino Vasquez from Hackensack, NJ. The arrest pertains to charges of sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

The investigation was a joint effort involving the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, the Hackensack Police Department, and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office. On Saturday, November 9, 2024, the Hackensack Police Department informed the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit about a previous alleged sexual assault of a juvenile.

The investigation revealed that Vasquez sexually assaulted and endangered a juvenile in Hackensack on numerous occasions between November 2017 and November 2018. As a consequence of the investigation, on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, Vasquez was formally charged.

Hawaii Man Admits to Sexual Abuse of Inmates

**Honolulu, HI** – A Hawaii man, Mikael Rivera, has admitted to sexually abusing inmates under his supervision. Rivera, 47, was a correctional officer at the Federal Detention Center in Honolulu from around 2014 to 2018. Court documents reveal he engaged in non-consensual sexual acts with one inmate and committed sexually abusive conduct with two other inmates during his tenure.

Rivera has pleaded guilty to six counts of sexual abuse of a ward. He is due for sentencing on July 3 and could face up to 15 years in prison per count. A federal district court judge will determine the final sentence, considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and statutory factors.
