BALTIMORE, MD – A routine observation by detectives turned into a brief chase and subsequent arrest in the Northern District on the afternoon of July 4.
Detectives from the Citywide Enforcement Team (CWET) noticed an unidentified male exhibiting behavior typical of an armed individual around 4:15 p.m. in the 2400 block of Cold Spring Lane.
The suspect fled on foot when detectives attempted to approach him but was quickly apprehended after a short pursuit. Police arrested a 19-year-old male and recovered a handgun.

The young man was then transported to the Central Booking and Intake Facility (CBIF) for processing.
