BALTIMORE, MD — An 18-year-old Baltimore County man has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the November shooting death of a woman during a party at a hotel near Johns Hopkins University.
Kierra Tripp, 28, was fatally shot on November 17 inside the Residence Inn by Marriott in the 800 block of North Wolfe Street. Police said she was found lying face down in a hotel hallway with blood on her face and the floor, along with a single .40-caliber shell casing nearby.
Investigators said an autopsy revealed Tripp died from a gunshot wound to the right side of her face, with the bullet traveling in an upward trajectory. Surveillance footage from the hotel showed several people entering the elevator and heading to the party shortly before the shooting occurred.
On Thursday, January 9, police arrested Davion Foreman, of Middle River, at a home in the 2200 block of Graythorn Road. The arrest came on his 18th birthday, and he has been charged with first-degree murder.
The investigation into the events leading up to the shooting is ongoing, as authorities continue to work on uncovering additional details.
