New York, NY — Police are searching for a man accused of forcibly touching a 15-year-old girl inside a Manhattan subway station before fleeing on an uptown 1 train earlier this month, according to the NYPD.

The incident happened Monday, May 18, around 10:32 a.m. at the 14 Street subway station within the confines of the NYPD’s 13th Precinct and Transit District 2, police said.

Investigators said the teenage victim was inside the station when an unidentified man approached her and touched her buttocks before quickly leaving the area.

According to the NYPD, the suspect then boarded an uptown 1 train and fled to an unknown destination.

Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Suspect

The NYPD released details about the incident through its Crime Stoppers program as detectives continue working to identify and locate the suspect.

Authorities have not released a description of the individual or said whether surveillance images were recovered from the station or train system.
