A 16-year-old boy was rushed to a children’s hospital after a shooting Thursday evening in North Philadelphia, and investigators have not yet made any arrests.
A 16-year-old boy was injured in a shooting Thursday evening in Philadelphia’s 39th Police District, authorities said.
Philadelphia police responded at approximately 7:12 p.m. to the 2400 block of West Cambria Street after receiving reports of gunfire. When officers arrived, they found the teenage victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
The teen was transported by Philadelphia Fire Department medics to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children.
Investigation remains active
Police have not released the victim’s condition.
Investigators also said no arrests have been made and no weapon has been recovered.
The Philadelphia Police Department’s Shooting Investigation Group is leading the investigation.
Authorities noted that the information released is preliminary and may change as detectives continue investigating the shooting.
