BRONX, N.Y. — The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying individuals linked to a pattern of five commercial burglaries across the 44th Precinct, where thousands of dollars in cash and merchandise were stolen over a 10-day period.
The first incident occurred on Monday, June 23, around 3:00 a.m., when two unidentified individuals broke through a security gate and glass door at 1133 Morris Avenue, stealing $200 from the cash register. They fled southbound on Morris Avenue.
The second break-in took place the next day, Tuesday, June 24, at approximately 3:35 a.m. A suspect entered 259 East 167th Street, also by force, removing $1,500 in cash and $1,000 in cigarettes before fleeing eastbound on East 167th Street.
On Friday, June 27, around 2:30 a.m., two individuals forced their way into 1160 Gerard Avenue, removing $1,100 from the register along with a laptop and an iPhone X. They fled northbound on Gerard Avenue.
Two days later, Sunday, June 29, around 5:30 a.m., suspects struck again at 1231 Webster Avenue, stealing $500 after breaking the security gate. They were last seen heading south on Webster Avenue.
The most recent incident occurred on Tuesday, July 1, at approximately 1:45 a.m., when two individuals forced entry at 1177 Jerome Avenue, taking $100 from the register before fleeing east on East 167th Street.
No injuries were reported in any of the incidents. Police have released surveillance images of the suspects and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
