One lucky TAKE 5 ticket matched every number in the midday drawing, sending a prize of nearly $20,000 to a Buffalo lottery player.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A TAKE 5 ticket worth $19,529 was sold in Buffalo for the Friday, July 10 midday drawing, according to the New York Lottery.

The winning ticket was purchased at Tops Markets, located at 700 Thruway Plaza Drive.

TAKE 5 is drawn twice daily, with drawings held at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Players select five numbers from a field of one through 39.

Lottery draw game prizes may be claimed for up to one year from the date of the drawing.

The New York Lottery remains North America’s largest and most profitable lottery, contributing $3.8 billion during fiscal year 2023-2024 to benefit public schools across New York State.
