Woman found with multiple stab wounds dies inside East Baltimore home

A 50-year-old man was arrested after officers discovered a critically injured woman inside a residence Saturday afternoon, police said

BALTIMORE, Md. — A 56-year-old woman died after she was found with multiple stab wounds inside an East Baltimore residence, and a man was taken into custody at the scene, according to Baltimore police.

Officers responded at approximately 1:40 p.m. Saturday to a home in the 400 block of East 25th Street for a report of a cutting.

When officers entered the residence, they found a 56-year-old woman suffering from multiple lacerations to her body.

Medics transported the victim to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police said a 50-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident while officers were still on the scene.

The identities of the victim and the suspect have not been released.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control of the investigation.
