WASHINGTON, D.C. — A woman was rescued from her vehicle by firefighters after an early morning crash in Southeast Washington, D.C. The incident, involving a GMC Yukon, occurred around 4:15 a.m. Friday in the 1200 block of M Street SE. The vehicle had veered off the road and collided with a tree, resulting in the entrapment of the driver.
Upon arrival, DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel immediately began extraction operations. The rescue team, including Rescue Squad 3, successfully freed the woman from the wreckage. She was subsequently transported to a local hospital. Although her injuries were serious, they were not deemed life-threatening.
