The latest shooting happened early Tuesday morning in West Philadelphia’s 19th District. At approximately 6:10 a.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting near North 55th Street and West Girard Avenue along the highway corridor.

Police found an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds at the scene. Emergency medical crews transported the victim to Penn-Presbyterian Medical Center for treatment. Authorities have not released the victim’s age or condition.

The morning shooting followed another gunfire incident late Monday night in Philadelphia’s 25th District.

At approximately 11:16 p.m. Monday, officers responded to a “Person with a Gun” call and discovered a juvenile male suffering from a gunshot wound to the back. Police rushed the victim to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, where he was listed in stable condition.

Authorities have not released the juvenile’s age or additional details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
