Two men caught smashing windows behind Bridgeview Plaza in Rosendale

ROSENDALE, NY – The Rosendale Police Department report the arrest of a 22 year old Hurley man and a 22 year old Shokan man on January 25, 2021 at approximately 9:20 p.m.

The men were stopped after an officer witnessed suspicious activity and were found to have smashed out the windows of a vehicle that was parked behind the Bridge View Plaza. The bat used to destroy the vehicle was observed and subsequently recovered from the pant leg of one of the men.

At this time, they have been charged with Criminal Mischief in the third degree and Conspiracy in the sixth degree. The men were released to reappear in the Town of Rosendale Court at a later date. Officers were assisted by members of the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office.
