Woman Shot in Northwest D.C.; Police Need Help Locating Suspect

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place on on Sunday in Northwest D.C. This incident happened on the 1700 Block of 7th Street.

According to detectives, “At approximately 5:10 am, members of the Third District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, members located an adult female victim suffering from a gunshot wound. DC Fire and EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The detectives’ investigation revealed that this offense was domestic in nature.”

28-year-old David Contee, of Damascus, Maryland was named as the suspect in the shooting. He is wanted for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
