Gunshots Ring Out in Kensington, 30-Year-Old Shot

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A 30-year-old black man was shot multiple times in the Kensington section of Philadelphia last week. Today, police released photos and video of the alleged gunman.

The shooting occurred on June 9 at 8:07 am, when a marked patrol unit heard several gunshots while in the area of Jasper Street and Lippincott Street.

“Officers located the victim, a 30-year-old black male, lying in the intersection suffering from a gunshot wound and apparent broken leg,” the Philadelphia Police Department said. “The shooter then fled on foot and was last seen turning onto Kensington Ave from Lippincott St. The victim was transported to Temple Hospital by police and listed in stable condition.”
