Two Shot 17 Year-Old Dead in D.C. Shooting

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating a double shooting that left one teen dead in Southeast D.C. This incident happened on June 13th, on the 3400 Block of Wheeler Road.

According to police, “At approximately 7:40 pm, MPD officers were dispatched to a local hospital for a juvenile male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim succumbed to his injuries. Additionally, a second victim was located at a local hospital suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim is being treated for non-life threatening injuries. The detectives’ investigation revealed the shooting occurred in the 3400 block of Wheeler Road, Southeast.”

17 year-old Xavier Spruill, of Baltimore, Maryland was identified as the victim who was killed.
