NEWARK, NJ – On August 27, members of the State Police Outreach Unit participated in a back to school book bag and supplies giveaway at Peshine Avenue School in Newark, N.J.

Troopers teamed up with volunteers to hand out more than 500 book bags and school supplies. Those in attendance were also treated to a great day of music, games and activities.

The annual program is coordinated by Changing Paths Mentoring, a community based non-profit organization with a mission to uplift and empower youth, while promoting positive behavior.
