Philadelphia Rite Aid robbed at gunpoint

Philadelphia, PA- Philadelphia Rite Aid was robbed at gunpoint by two black males who entered the store with covered faces and demanded money from the cash register. The two suspects then forced the manager of the store to open the safe at gunpoint and give them the money inside.

According to police, on August 25 at approximately 6:45 pm, 22nd district responded to a robbery in progress at the Rite Aid located at 2900 W. Dauphin St.

“Upon arrival police were met by an employee who stated two unknown black males entered store with their faces covered and approached the counter from both ends demanding money,” police said. “One offender pulled out a handgun and pointed it at an employee while the second offender took the money from the register. After taking the money from the register the suspects demanded the manager to go into the office and open up the safe where they took more money and fled location.”
