Woman Shot in Car Driving Over Williamsburg Bridge in New York City

NEW YORK, NY – A woman who was driving across the Williamsburg Bridge early Saturday night with a young girl in the back seat was shot, according to the New York City Police Department.

Police said the woman is recovering after being taken to a hospital in Queens and treated for a gunshot wound. The child was uninjured in the shooting according to police.

The shooting took place at around 11 p.m. When a bullet entered the car and Grace the victim’s neck but missed a child sitting next to her in the backseat according to the New York City Police Department.

According to police investigating the incident, no suspects or motives have been announced at this time. No arrests have been made.
