PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Philadelphia Police Department has identified 16-year-old Dayron Burney-Thorne, 16, as the gunman responsible for shooting five people at a Roxborough High School football game on September 27th.

A 14-year-old boy, Nicolas Elizalde of Havertown, was killed during the shooting.

Burney-Thorne is facing one charge of murder, multiple attempted murder charges and other felony and conspiracy charges.

He is currently a fugitive from justice and police are asking the public who may know his whereabouts to contact 911. He is considered armed and dangerous. Police warned against approaching or confronting Dayron.

Last week, Dayron and seven other possible accomplices who are being sought by police were involved in the shooting. Police said the five victims were leaving a high school football scrimmage at Roxborough High School when they were shot.
