NEW YORK -A teenager has been taken into custody and charged with the brutal murder of a Bronx man in front of his wife that took place on October 15th.
Jovant Erazo, 19, was charged with murder and vehicle manslaughter for the vicious killing of Cortez Hinton in a suspect drug-related gangland killing.
According to police, Erazo shot and killed Hinton at around 8 am as he was walking along Kelly Street in the Bronx. Then he ran Hinton over with his car and fled the scene.
Hinton was rushed to Lincoln Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Detectives with the NYPD are continuing their investigation to determine the motive for the murder.
