NYC smoke shop worker thrwarts attempted robbery

NEW YORK, NY – A smoke shop owner in Midtown Manhattan called the bluff of an attempted robber on Sunday, forcing the would-be thief to flee without any merchandise.

According to detectives with the city’s 17th Precinct, at around 1:10 am on Sunday, a man entered a smoke shop located at 443 3rd Avenue. The man approached a 23-year-old male worker and simulated a firearm, demanding items from the store.

The store employee refused and called the suspect’s bluff. The suspect fled the store without taking anything.

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance to identify the whereabouts of the following individual in connection to an attempted robbery that occurred within the confines of the 17 Precinct. Details are as follows:       

Now, police are seeking the man involved in the failed robbery attempt.
