BIRMINGHAM, AL – A party at a private event center in the 200 block of Eighth Avenue West in Birmingham turned violent early Sunday morning, resulting in one person dead and two others injured. According to the Birmingham Police Department, an argument inside the event center spilled over to the outside, resulting in a physical altercation that escalated into gunfire.
Officers responded to the scene around 2:40 a.m. and found two men in the roadway with gunshot wounds. While they were investigating, they learned a third gunshot victim had been taken to the hospital by private vehicle and was pronounced dead. All three victims were attending the party.
