Police offer $50,000 reward in murder of 51-year-old Michael Westpoint

WASHINGTON, DC – A tragic shooting occurred on Saturday, around 11:10 PM, leaving 51-year-old Michael Westpoint dead from gunshot wounds. Officers responded to the 2600 block of Kent Village Drive following a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered Westpoint outside, suffering from gunshot wounds. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Homicide Unit is currently working to identify the suspect(s) involved in the fatal shooting and to determine the motive behind the incident. In an effort to encourage public cooperation and gather information, authorities are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for any information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
