Teen robbed by moped bound bandits in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, NY – A teenager was the latest victim of moped bound armed robbers in York City.

On Sunday, April 16, 2023, at approximately 5:10 PM, a 17-year-old male was assaulted and robbed in front of 8512 23 Avenue.

The suspects, riding mopeds, approached the victim and began punching him multiple times in the face and body. One of the suspects then used a metal chain to strike the victim several times in the body and face. After forcibly taking the victim’s moped, the trio fled the scene heading northbound on 23 Avenue. The victim sustained minor injuries but refused medical attention.
