Three Juveniles Arrested in Stolen Vehicle Incident in New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, NY – On Monday, at approximately 12:18 pm, New Rochelle Police were alerted by the Westchester County Real Time Crime Center about a stolen vehicle entering New Rochelle, heading towards the Home Depot parking lot on Weyman Avenue.

Detectives located the vehicle, which was occupied by three individuals. An attempt to stop the vehicle resulted in the suspects trying to evade, but they quickly stopped to flee on foot. The vehicle, left in reverse by the driver, reversed into an unmarked police car, causing minor injury to a detective.

Two male suspects were apprehended following a brief foot pursuit into Home Depot. The third suspect, a female, did not flee and was apprehended with the vehicle.

All three suspects, two males and one female, all aged 15, were taken into custody. The detective sought medical treatment for minor injuries to his shoulder and back and returned to work later.
