Woman stabbed inside hospital maternity ward, suspect arrested

GLEN BURNIE, MD – A stabbing occurred at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center on Saturday, at around 6:30 a.m.

The incident took place in the labor and delivery wing of the hospital, during which an adult female was stabbed following a verbal argument.

The suspect, identified as 22-year-old Malcolm Lee Jones from Charlotte, North Carolina, fled on foot but was arrested a short time later.

The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Jones was arrested and charged.
