Troopers Investigate Threats Made Against River Valley School District

BURRELL TOWNSHIP, PA – The Pennsylvania State Police are currently investigating threats made against the River Valley School District. On Tuesday at about 9:00 p.m., Troop A, Indiana, was informed by the school district of threatening phone calls received by students from an unidentified individual. The suspect, during these calls, conveyed threats of violence against the River Valley School District.

Out of an abundance of caution, members of the Troop A, Indiana Patrol Unit, were on-site at River Valley School District to provide a visible deterrent and ensure the safety of students and staff.

Based on information obtained overnight and during the investigation, troopers believe there is no imminent or ongoing threat to the school district. However, the investigation is still ongoing.
