77-year-old Verona man facing charges after Police Find Images of Children

VERONA, NJ – The New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, along with the U.S. Secret Service, Essex County Prosecutors Office, and Verona Police Department, have recently arrested a 77-year-old man from Verona.

Following CyberTip reports sent to the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), He was charged with possession and distribution of Child Sexual Exploitation / Abuse Material (CSE/AM). He is currently held at the Essex County Correctional Center pending a hearing.

Update: The suspect has since passed away and charges against him will be dropped as a result.
