Buffalo Man Pleads Guilty to Manslaughter in December Deadly Assault

BUFFALO, NY – Lewis A. Keys, 23, of Buffalo, pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter on Monday. The charge pertains to an incident that occurred on Saturday, December 17, 2022, inside an apartment on the 100 block of Rodney Street.

Keys was charged with the assault of 25-year-old Mikhail C. Scott, which resulted in Scott’s death due to blunt force trauma to the head.

Two co-defendants, Daiquan A. Busby, 20, and Christopher L. Busby, 39, also from Buffalo, have been indicted for their alleged involvement in the fatal assault. Each of them faces a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison if convicted.

Keys’ sentencing is scheduled for Monday, July 17, 2023, at 10:00 AM, and he remains in custody with bail set at $250,000.
