LANCASTER, PA – Humberto Barrales-Santamaria, a 37-year-old Lancaster man, was recently charged with multiple offenses including endangering the welfare of children and DUI following a traffic stop on May 13, 2023.

Barrales-Santamaria was observed driving erratically, including braking without cause, driving below the speed limit, and swerving within his lane.

His vehicle came to an abnormal stop at a red light and showed delayed response to a green signal.

Following the stop, an odor of alcohol was detected from the vehicle and Barrales-Santamaria’s eyes appeared glassy and reddened.

He was taken into custody and transported to Lancaster General Hospital for a blood draw, which returned a BAC of .166%. He was transported to Lancaster County Prison on an unrelated warrant.
