PHILADELPHIA, PA – A 15-year-old boy sustained multiple gunshot wounds early Wednesday while sitting inside a parked SUV at a Philadelphia Wawa. The incident occurred at approximately 1:30 a.m. on the 2500 block of Aramingo Avenue.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department, an unknown individual drove up next to the SUV and opened fire. The teenager, injured in the arm and torso, managed to flee the vehicle and seek assistance inside the Wawa.

The young man was rushed to a nearby hospital and is reported to be in critical condition. Investigators are still determining whether the teenager was driving the SUV when the shooting occurred, though surveillance footage shows him exiting from the driver’s side of the vehicle. The police department is yet to release any further details.
